Great Blasket (11/2jf) stayed on best to collar Rock Etoile in the first division in the extended mile handicap for three-year-olds plus rated 47-70.

Jack Kearney drove him home to get up by half a length from the game 6/1 runner-up. Simply Sideways (13/2) was another three-parts of a length back in third.

This continued trainer John Murphy's good form.

Assistant trainer George Murphy said: "The horses are in great shape and he was good. Jack gave him a lovely ride, gave him a chance to get into it and they went through the line very well.

"He is tall and took a bit of time but is getting strong now and going 1m2f will be no issue to him."
