Great 24 hours for the Duffys Plume Noir (1/1 fav) built on her promising debut second at Punchestown to take the Woods Financial Services Fillies Maiden. Seamie Heffernan tracked the leaders on the daughter of Harzand who improved from two furlongs out and headed Royal Blend in the final hundred yards. A length and a half was the margin of victory with anther five and a half lengths back to third home Giuliana. The winner is a half-sister to yesterday’s course winner Mean Fomhair and Irish 1,000 Guineas heroine Jet Setting. Winning trainer Brian Duffy said: "An unbelievable 24 hours (after Mean Fomhair gave him his first winner yesterday)! She's a lovely filly and a homebred by myself and my dad (Frank) so it is great to get a win into her. "She's still a bit green galloping up in the air. We thought the trip might be too short for her but she has plenty of pace so we are delighted to get a bracket for her. "It's a great occasion and it is great to have a winner on the day. "We have just the two horses, her and her sister who won yesterday. "We are just outside Trim and everyone from Meath wants a winner here. "We hope to find something for her before it finishes up. We might try her in a Pattern race, there is the Garnet coming up. We'll see how she comes out of it. "She had a lovely debut and she handled the track better than I thought she would - it is a bit ridgey in Punchestown. "She had been showing plenty at home." Quotes from Michael Graham
