The opening race this evening at Gowran Park, The Annual Golf Membership At Gowran Park C&G Maiden was won by the Aidan O'Brien trained Coat Of Arms under Seamie Heffernan in the familiar colours of Mrs John Magnier.
Heffernan was always prominent on the Danehill Dancer gelding, ridden in 2nd over 2f out, kept on well to lead inside final furlong and hold off the Eddie Lynam trained Captain Henry by 1 length.
It was a good day for the winning trainer as he saddled Perfect Truth to win The Weatherbys Bank Cheshire Oaks (Fillies Listed Race) at Chester earlier today.
