Good World scores for Doyle and Griffin at 20/1 The Tom Lynam Memorial Handicap Hurdle proved a real triumph for the handicapper with many still involved at the business end and it was 20/1 shot Good World that came out on top at Kilbeggan. At least half of the 14 runners were still in contention approaching the final flight and Ricky Doyle’s mount dug deep on the run-in to land the spoils. The son of Morozov kept on well in the closing stages to get the better of Sargent Lightfoot by three-quarters of a length with Riyami just a length back in third. The Eoin Griffin-trained gelding was recording his fourth career win and Doyle said, “He’s small but he was good and tough there. “Going down to the last he was in a bit of a sandwich, but he came out the better side of it. “He’s a great servant to Eoin and Natalie (Bradley) had a few spins on him and freshened him up to leave him spot on for today. “Eoin said he was fit and ready to go and he was third in this race last year. He likes it around here. “We thought the drop back in trip would be an issue but the fact there was pace on played to our strength in the end. “I had to squeeze him along early to get the bit back in his mouth and I was always in a challenging position.”
