Michael Halford and Tracey Collins , who have been amongst the winners since taking out a joint licence earlier this season, were back in the number one spot after Golden Days got up close home under Ronan Whelan to take the second division of the Coast To Curragh Cycle August 26th Handicap at Fairyhouse.
The six-year-old Canford Cliffs mare was recording just the second win of her career; the first coming at Cork when in the sole care of Collins last May.
Ronan Whelan, who was also in the saddle for that previous success, tracked the leaders early in the straight before producing his mount to head plunge horse Whatharm close home.
The latter had been well backed throughout the day, coming in from 20/1 to as low as 11/4 an hour before the race. The money certainly was misplaced as those that supported the Pat Flynn trained gelding collected with a podium finish.
Tracey Collins said: She's a fun horse for this grade and I think going around a bend helped her more than anything else."
