The flat and hurdle track at Galway is now soft (fresh ground available). The chase track remains heavy.
The eight-race mixed card gets under way at 2pm. The feature of the flat races is the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund 'Ahonoora' Handicap worth 100,000 euro, off at 3.10. Dermot Weld's Stuccodor chasing his sixth consecutive victory, will be a warm favourite here.
The highlight of the jumps action is the Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle at 3.45. With top-weight Carlito Brigante running, a lot of horses get in off a handy racing weight. Security Breach Landero and Benemeade will dispute favouritism in this one.
Meanwhile, the ground at Cork is currently good, good to firm in places (flat track) and good to firm on the National Hunt course (watering). There is racing at Cork on Monday (2.20pm).
