The Michael Halford trained, Godolphin owned Betty Loch got off the mark at the seventh attempt when landing the Bar One Racing Telebetting Maiden at Dundalk today, scoring under jockey Shane Foley.

The daughter of Pivotal had previously finished second and third once from her previous six starts but on her first run on an all-weather surface, scored a three parts of a length win over Curly GIrl.

Halford later stated “she got her turn and in fairness to her she was due it because she's run some good races.

“The ground was a bit quick for her the last day and the surface has been riding a bit slower here so I'd say that helped her. She's genuine and straight-forward and we'll probably let her have a crack at a handicap again now.

“It's nice to get a bracket with her.”
