The 11/8 favourite Gjoumi made all to land the mares’ maiden hurdle for Willie and Danny Mullins.

The free-going French-bred led and was clear until the end of the back straight. Sadie’s Pride began to take closer order from that point but was three lengths down and being pushed along when capsizing at the second-last. It was plain sailing for the winner from that point and she passed the post forty-four lengths clear of Scarlet Witch

Danny Mullins said: “The plan was to buck out and keep it simple. It was a good performance and a deserved win.

“She has plenty of ability and she jumps. Hopefully she can build on that and there may be some black type races she could go for at the Festivals.

“It’s nice to have her back on track. Her fall the last day (at Wexford last Sunday) was just one of those things and I wouldn’t be worried about it.”
