Jack Davison trained the first and third home in the Gables Foxrock Cup Maiden at Leopardstown with Givemehoperosa keeping on best under Ronan Whelan to record her first career success.
Having shown little in two runs earlier in the campaign, the Havana Hold filly returned to action with a fine third at Naas last week.
Making a quick reappearance this afternoon, the Brian Doan owned runner stayed on best inside the final furlong to overhaul leader Finsceal Go Deo inside the final furlong.
She then had to be strong to repel the late runs of both Military Alliance and her own stablemate Come On The Lads
“She's a fine filly, she had a setback on her second run in Gowran and we had to be patient,” said Davison.
“I was worried that we might run out of time, as she's a turf filly really, but thankfully she backed up well after Naas last Sunday.
“I think she's a filly that will progress again for a winter under her belt, she's still a big frame.
“She's genuine and tough and a nice one to look forward to next spring.
“She seems to like those conditions, she's tough enough and honest enough to run in those conditions as well which counts for a lot.
“It was a very good ride. I'd say another furlong will definitely be no problem and you never know she might be a mile-and-a-half filly in time.”
