Gin On Lime justified long odds-on favouritism in style, and in the process made it 3 from 3 since returning to action over fences this year, by landing the Patrickswell Novice Chase at Limerick.
The five-year-old previously made all at Killarney and Wexford (beating Star Max by eight lengths) and Rachael Blackmore again adopted front-running tactics on the 1/4 favourite.
The Henry de Bromhead-trained mare asserted early in the straight and cruised home on the run-in to extend her superiority over Star Max to 12 lengths, with Samurai Cracker a further six and a half lengths back in third.
Blackmore said, “She definitely enjoyed it. She jumped better than she did at Wexford and I’m delighted with that.
“Her best performances for us seem to be on nicer ground and she jumped with a lot more fluency.
“She seems happy at that trip with her style of running.”
