The Emmet Mullins-trained Sneaky Getaway proved a different class to his rivals in the featured Assembly Techniques Handicap at Tramore as he cruised to victory in the €20,000 contest.
Danny Mullins kept the even-money shot wide throughout in the two-miler and he came to lead a furlong-and-a-half from home.
The son of Getaway was soon in control and didn't have to come off the bridle to record a four-and-a-quarter length success. Jake Peter proved best of the rest, edging out Cray by half a length with Flat To The Max just a short-head behind in a bunch finish in behind the easy winner.
Sneaky Getaway was making his first start in handicap company having been a fine third behind Hasanabad in a hot conditions race at Galway last time.
“He did it very easily. Danny was very good, he picked the best of the ground the whole way around,” said the winning trainer.
“In the second race everyone went wide and I couldn't understand why they all went back on to the rail, on the worst ground, in that race.
“It kind of fell in his lap but he's a nice horse and he's exciting. He's probably surprising us the whole time.
“He had a very good run in Galway. I thought he'd be a bit flatter after it but judging on that the penny is starting to drop with him nearly.
“We made an entry for the English Cesarewitch. He needed a third run here for that. It's a big pot and he should stay.”
When asked if he could be nearly stakes class after that he replied:-
“Possibly. I can't say I ever thought that of him.
“I'd say he was probably flattered there with the ground and Danny was very good to stay wide on the best of the ground and as I said it kind of fell into his lap in the dip. He didn't get a hard race thank-God.”
