Via Galilei led into the straight, but Honoria (3-1) challenged hard through the final furlong and wore him down close home to score by three lengths, with favourite Ghimaar unable to get near them.

Favourite Dreamy Gent tried to make all and held a commanding lead before the turn for home, but he emptied in the last 100 yards and Artiste Bay, who had followed him all the way, responded well to David Casey's driving to get up by a neck.
