Frenetic all speed in the Curragh Speedball Frenetic bounced back to winning form in the Listed five-furlong race at the Curragh. Colin Keane's mount soon worked her way to the front and blazed the trail. Blue Cabochon tracked her but once Keane asked her to go and win her race inside the final furlong she powered home, and gave none of her rivals the opportunity of catching her. The 1/2 favourite came in by a length and three parts from Chief Little Hawk (4/1) who came through for second in the closing stages, without troubling the winner. The Kodiac filly is now three from five with two of her victories coming in Listed company over furlongs at Heaquarters. Her other success was in a fillies' maiden over an extended five furlongs in Navan. She finished second in a Group 2 over six in the Curragh and in a five furlong Listed race at Naas. Ger Lyons said: “I blame myself for her in Naas. The best horse won on the day but I didn’t train her for that race and we ran as an afterthought which you can’t do. “She’s in the Ballyhane race at Naas next week. We’ll do the right thing by the filly and if she is absolutely squealing and bouncing she might turn up. “The Flying Childers is another possibility in Doncaster but with the way Covid is I’d like to campaign her here. “I know she won over six in Navan but she’s all five furlongs and is hard on herself.” Additional reporting by Alan Magee
