Fortune shines on Weather Weather Watch was left to come home a clear winner after the last flight fall of Beau Mome in the second division of the maiden hurdle at Tipperary this evening. Jessica Harrington's charge was just getting on terms with the front-runner when he crashed out at the final obstacle. Front-runner Beau Mome looked to have his rivals in trouble turning for home in the two-miler with Weather Watch under pressure in third. The eventual winner stayed on into second at the penultimate flight and was almost upsides when the leader exited at the last. The Mark Bolger-ridden gelding went on to record a eight-and-a-half length success over Scoby Hill. 13/8 favourite Stuccodor, who had chased the leader into the straight, faded to finish fifth. "That's the first horse I've had for his owners the Oaktree Racing Club who lease him. He had leg trouble and only came back at the backend of last year,” said Harrington. "He'll make a dual purpose horse though the summer." Sadly Beau Mome was put down in the stable yard after the race, due to his injuries, despite having initially walked away from the fall.
