Foley completes 220/1 double on Minot Street Minot Street (16/1) rounded off a miserable evening for punters at Dundalk as he took the last, division two of the Crowne Plaza Leading Jockey & Trainer Handicap, providing his jockey Shane Foley with a 220/1 double on the card (earlier won aboard Strait Of Zanzibar). The John McConnell trained son of Van Nistelrooy finished second in the UK twice last season and he was a decent third to Mctaggart on his last outing at Bellewstown in August. Having tracked the leaders throughout he got a nice run through entering the straight and was soon ridden to challenge. He hit the front a furlong and a half from home and he kept on well under pressure from there, going on to score by three and a half lengths. Victors Beach finished second at 11/2 under Shane Kelly for Mick Halford while Oceania Queen was a further half a length back in third under Connor King for Pat Martin at 8/1 Havelock Ellis was sent off the 7/4 favourite under Fergal Lynch but he slipped up early in the straight. Thankfully both horse and rider were okay after the incident. John McConnell said afterwards: "I'm delighted he's broken his maiden. He's a fun horse for the syndicate (Newlands Racing Club) which my father runs. "It was a decent performance and he'll come back here. He might go jumping as well." Additional reporting by Gary Carson
