Paul Flynn saddled a one-two in the Hilamar Hotel Kinnegad Handicap Hurdle at Kilbeggan as Bremen battled well to see off stable-mate Mayday Frontier
Bremen had hit the front after the third last under Keith Donoghue but was headed by Mayday Frontier at the penultimate flight.
He dug deep to get his head back in front at the last and had more in the tank on the run-in to score by a length-and-three-quarters.
"I could have run the other lad at Limerick next week and that would have been two winners!" said Flynn.
"I used to ride for the owners when I was with Philip Hobbs so it's great to get a winner for them.
"The handicapper has been awful hard on him and will probably kill him again. It's just grand to see him win.
"We might think about going chasing with him but could go to Galway for the owners and there is a handicap hurdle on the Friday for him.
"I'll look for a little race for the runner-up and would love to go to England with him."
