Quaquo De Flotte was produced with a well-timed run by Patrick Mullins to make a winning debut in the bumper at Limerick.
Willie Mullins' French bred came with a strong run at the furlong pole and soon hit the front.
The hotpot (10/11f) kept on well in the closing stages to post a four-length verdict over long-time leader Lady Olwyn
"He's a nice big chasing type and is a chaser in the making," said Mullins senior afterwards.
"He may now have a crack at a winners' bumper and could then go novice hurdling after Christmas."
