Leopardstown Pierse Hurdle Day gamble, Fistoulig a strong finishing third on that occasion, put the record straight in convincing fashion in the Navan Racecourse Handicap Hurdle.
Ridden to lead between the last two by Philip Carberry, the chestnut opened up before the last which he got wrong, going on to account for Halfback (12s in the morning into 6s) by four lengths.
Successful handler Arthur Moore said: "He'll stay hurdling for a while and he'll probably be out again in three weeks or so."
Meanwhile Moore also outlined plans for a couple of his stable stars. He said: "King Johns Castle will run over hurdles at either Naas (a two mile three handicap that he won last year) early next month or Navan. Hurdling preparation for the National seems to have worked for a good few Irish horses before and so that's the plan."
On Mansony Moore commented: "He is in good shape and runs at Naas on Sunday." (EM)
