First double for Lynch as Molly scores Ahorsecalledmolly recorded a quick double for his trainer Andy Lynch, following the success of Roley in the previous race, as he took the Sean Naughton Auctioneers Handicap Chase with Robbie Colgan aboard. Lynch who formerly worked for Noel Meade was enjoying his first ever double as a trainer. Always prominent the son of Arzanni, led before the straight. He was then strongly pressed before the last by Jamsie Hall, who appeared to be going best. However the winner jumped the last better and pulled out more on the run-in to fend of the 7/2 second favourite by just a short head at the line. The pair went thirteen lengths clear of the third placed horse Pistol Jack who was returned the 3/1 favourite for Dessie Hughes and Bryan Cooper. Mister Two Fifty ran a cracker two and a half lengths back in fourth completing the placings at 33/1. The winning 10yo had two wins to his name before today, both of which came last year. He won a three mile Handicap Hurdle at this meeting last year before following up in a Novice Chase at Fairyhouse in October. However he hadn't shown much since that victory and was sent off at 8/1 today. Winning trainer Andy Lynch said afterwards: "I've been waiting since last October for a win and then I get two! That’s my first double. "He is tough, but he always keeps a bit up his sleeve. I fancied him last time out at Kilbeggan but he missed the break and then got tired turning in and he was just left alone from there. "He wants three miles." Donal Murphy
