Favourite in Kilbeggan Chase follow-up Chase The Favourite successfully made the jump from maiden hurdle company where she scored at this track 25 days back to the beginners chase sphere as she took the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund backed two and three quarter mile contest at Kilbeggan. In truth the slow leap three out (a slight mistake really) of the well-fancied 2nd Loughnagall (5s this morning into 3s) probably proved very important in the ultimate destination of the prize as Chase The Favourite just held on by a neck. Dessie Hughes trains the winner, a seven-year-old daughter of Hubbly Bubbly for Patrick Fallon and as was the case over three weeks back she was again partnered by Bryan Cooper. Hughes said: "She jumped well and that helped her. "She jumped quite well too, until she fell, in a chase before at Down Royal. "She got very tired today and she was lucky to hold on. "She liked the ground and now we'll wait and see what mark she gets as she wouldn't be good enough for novices." Favourite, Double Seven, pulled up, was found to have an over-reach on his off-fore.
