The Michael Hourigan trained False Messenger under Adrian Heskin, caused a 20/1 upset to win the Tote Daily Double Handicap Hurdle at Naas today.
Afterwards Hourigan stated “False Messenger must have been fooling me all year as I fancied her several days but the first-time blinkers today were a big help. It’s great for us and Adrian (Heskin) to be going to Cheltenham with a recent winner.”
Regarding his Cheltenham prospects, the Co Limerick trainer stated “I’ve two and a half runners going over! I run A New Story in the Cross Country Race and Mr Cracker in the Jewson Novice Chase while Warcraft goes for the Charity Race!”
“Beef Or Salmon is also on parade at Sandown on Saturday before showing at Cheltenham on Tuesday.”
