Laura Hourigan teamed up with her father Michael Hourigan to take the Kingdom QR Race at Listowel today, with False Economy
The son of Orpen pulled his way to the front three furlongs out, before staying on gamely in the straight for a half length win over Caesar’s Song.
Afterwards Hourigan Snr reported “I was slightly disappointed with his run at Clonmel the last day but I’d say he didn’t handle the track – he likes that ground, will mix it between Flat and jumps now and the Amateur Riders’ Handicap (formerly the GPT Handicap) at Galway is a possibility.”
