Fahey rides first winnner Seventeen year old amateur jockey Ciara Fahey recorded her first winner at Tramore today, winning the Racecourse Supporters Club Handicap Hurdle on her father Jarlath Fahey’s Lea Lady. Fahey tracked the leaders on the daughter of Atraf, led at the last and stayed on well under a strong drive to record a two and a half lengths winner over Fleeting Moments. Afterwards proud winning trainer Fahey stated “I’m delighted for Ciara because she rides out every morning before she goes to school, is very committed and gave Lea Lady a great ride ” “Lea Lady deserved that win and although she is bred for shorter, needs a stamina test and will go for another handicap next, probably over 2m6f or three miles.”
