Joseph beat Donnacha as the O'Brien brothers dominated in race two at Leopardstown. Second favourite Good Heavens (5/2) took his form figures to '7221' with a good victory in the Irish EBF Supporting Treo Eile (C & G) Maiden.

Whilst Joseph was on top, his father Aidan's market-leader Ninja finished at the rear.

Shane Crosse was aboard five length scorer Good Heavens for the Piltown outfit, and J P McManus' home-bred chased the leaders in third, before being ridden to lead a furlong and a half out.

Good Heavens went well clear a furlong out, staying on strongly to easily defeat 20/1 chance, Donnacha O'Brien's Impero

McManus representative Frank Berry said: “His experience stood to him and it was a good performance. I’m not sure what they are like behind him but he couldn’t have done it any better today.

“Getting a lead was a good help to him and he quickened up well.”

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Ninja, trained by A.P.O'Brien, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.
