Exogenesis is out of this world! The Ger Lyons trained Exogenesis followed up an impressive maiden with with an equally impressive win in the Royal Western India Turf Club (RWITC) Race at Leopardstown today, scoring readily under Gary Carroll. Mansion House was clear entering the straight but Exogenesis wore down the lead and moved to the front inside the final furlong, recording a length and a half win over Friendship. Afterwards Lyons stated “he (Exogenesis) always hits a lazy spot in his races and he had that entering the straight. When Gary got after him the response was immediate though and he probably was in front sooner than he wanted. “I said in Fairyhouse (after his maiden win) I loved the way he hit the (winning) post and that he's a Stakes race and if he stays with us he'll go for a Stakes race next. I still think he'll be a better three year old as the penny hasn't dropped yet and he's as green as grass. He's a big idle horse and hopefully will keep improving.” He added “he's well named – out of this world!” Exogenesis is the hypothesis that life originated elsewhere in the universe and was spread to Earth.
