Jockey Philip Enright returned from injury to ride his first winner since December at Wexford today, steering the Robert Tyner trained Nelly's Money (2/1) to win the BetVictor Racing (Mares) Beginners Chase.

Enright missed two months of last season with a fractured ankle last March, and having fallen heavily from Indiana Jones at Naas on December 16, missed a further two months and today recorded a first winner since December 11.

Following the race, trainer Tyner later reported “she deserved it. We were tempted to come here as there weren’t too many options left for her over the next few weeks. She was fresh and well after her last run but I was worried as she’s after three or four quick runs.

“She got a bit close to the second last but Phillip was always confident that she was going to get there.

“She’s finishing out her races better now. We decided to ride her a bit closer on the sticky ground.”
