Arch Enemy saw out the mile-and-a-half trip well when claiming the first division of the 47-65 handicap at Dundalk.

Conor Stone-Walsh settled mid-division on the grey filly, who had finished third over a mile here last week.

She came to challenge over a furlong from home and got the better of Gracesolution in a tight finish to record a head victory.

The 5/1 winner was recording her third career victory and her second since joining trainer Patrick Magee.

The winning trainer was leading up and Stone-Walsh said afterwards: "I thought the trip was going to suit her today. She stayed on lovely over a mile the last day.

"I thought she would be in her comfort zone today and she was - she travelled around lovely, picked up well and won with plenty in hand with her ears pricked at the line.

"She's a good, hardy filly and tries hard, but just doesn't do a lot when she gets to the front."
