Emily In Paris nailed Jumping Susie on the line to take the spoils in the mares' maiden hurdle at Killarney.
Jumping Susie travelled notably well in picking up the lead three out. Brian Hayes got after her upon jumping the next and the duo led Artemis Angel and a keeping-on Emily In Paris to the last.
The leader was slightly hesitant at it and Emily In Paris improved into second on the run-in. Jumping Susie was all out in the closing stages as Emily In Paris delivered her finish to force the photograph.
Emily In Paris, the 7/4 favourite, got the verdict by a nose from the 3/1 runner-up. Artemis Angel dropped a length and a half back in third at 11/1.
Jockey Michael O’Sullivan said: “She wasn’t really enjoying it. They were going quick, but I was never happy.
“I got hampered jumping the last the first time, but I always knew she would stay galloping. She probably doesn’t jump them old-style hurdles as well as the Easyfix, for whatever reason I don’t know, but she was genuine to the line.”
Trainer Davy Fitzgerald added: “She was never travelling and she must be in season or something. That’s not her.”
