The Gordon Elliott-trained Jumping Jet stayed on stoutly to open her jumping account in the mares maiden hurdle at Leopardstown.
Jordan Gainford produced the Getaway mare with a well timed run to dispute at the last flight and she kept on best on the run-in to record a two-and-a-quarter length win over Emily Roebling
Jumping Jet went to post 11/4 joint-favourite today having been knocking on the door over hurdles in recent starts.
It was a double on the card for Elliott, following the earlier victory of Fils D'oudairies and he said:-
“She's a grand honest mare. She's been running consistently on her last few runs. She stayed galloping well and we're delighted.
“She might be one that could go to England for a mares novice hurdle.”
