Trainer in form Gordon Elliott was back in the winner’s enclosure for the third time this afternoon when Cabernet Sauvignon took the www.gowranpark.ie Hurdle in good style.
Barry Geraghty who was in the saddle took up the lead travelling well in between the final two flights.
The pair soon asserted to score by a comfortable five lengths over short priced favourite Suffren
A delighted Elliott said afterwards: “It’s great for the lads, they are good friends of Gary O’Brien’s from attherace.”
“The good ground really suited him.”
