Dysart Dynamo brought up a short-priced double for Willie Mullins in the bumper at Clonmel.
The son of Westerner was making his debut and the market spoke favourably as he went off the 11/10 favourite.
He stalked the leader More Than A Memory in the final half mile before picking off that rival coming to the two pole.
He merely had to be pushed along by Patrick Mullins to move clear by the final furlong.
The half brother to triple-winner Dysart Diamond stretched away to score by eight and a half lengths from 9/2 More Than A Memory. Grange Island was a distant 29 lengths back in third at 14/1.
Patrick Mullins said: "It is a great family, and the Mannings' bred him and own him.
"He is a big, big baby and that's why I was quite keen to take a lead for the first bit and get him to settle and relax. To look at him he is a three-mile chaser on soft ground.
"If we get nice ground for him he could go for a winners' bumper and I think there's lots of improvement in him."
Willie Mullins won the preceding race on the card with Robin Des Foret (8/13f).
