Dunum (5/1f) continued remarkable progression with a fifth win from his last six starts today, landing Limerick's Rathsallagh House Of The Year Handicap for trainer Natalia Lupini and jockey Robbie Colgan.

Initially successful when rated 58 last May, the Ivawood-gelding completed a four-timer in July before meeting defeat when finishing second at the Curragh last September. Today, rated 82, he made a winning reappearance, beating Blues Emperor comfortably.

Afterwards Lupini's partner Craig Bryson said “he was in great form coming and we thought he'd handle the ground as he is a strong horse now and we had to get a run into him.

“I think there could be some more improvement to come back on nicer ground and hopefully will be competitive in those better handicaps. There is a good mile handicap at the Curragh on Guineas weekend for him next.

“Wayne (Lordan, his previous winning rider) was at Navan today and Robbie had ridden him previously so the owners were happy to let him ride the horse.”
