Dream keeps improving Adreamstillalive followed up from her maiden win at Tramore earlier this month when running out a cosy winner of the Ladbrokes Handicap Hurdle at Gowran Park. The Henry de Bromhead-trained mare was sent off 9/2 favourite and made all the running to grab the spoils in the two mile contest. She kept going well for David Mullins in the closing stages to post a five-and-a-half length win over Conna Cross. “That was great. She did everything in her power to get rid of David from the moment he got up on her and even passing the winning post with a circuit to go she seemed to duck at that,” said de Bromhead. “I’m delighted for the owners as they are local. It’s fantastic to get a winner for them here. “She’s turned inside out. She had a few issues and was always a big scopey mare. We always hoped time would do her well and it really has. “She’s still a novice so she might get into one of those rated novices or we could look at another handicap. We won’t be rushing her - it never works for me. “The plan this year was actually to give her a run over hurdles and then go chasing. When she had a couple of good runs over hurdles we said we’d stick with it. “You’d hope she would be a way better mare over fences.”
