Downpatrick double for Butler Mickey Butler doubled his score on the evening at Downpatrick when the well-backed Eoin Doyle runner Fast Exit (6/1 into 9/2) took the Now Your Talking Handicap Chase. Earlier successful on his father Michael's Preswell Lad, a brace for Butler didn't look likely when Treacy's Star went to the front three out and soon looked all over a winner under Paul Townend. However even though he hadn't won a race of any description until today, Fast Exit's heart is in the right place and he got the better of Treacy's Star on the run-in by three parts of a length. Butler remarked: "This is a very lucky track for me. "The owner is in Leopardstown as she has a runner there. "This horse had a good run in Tramore and this race cut up a bit. He loved the good ground and won well. He's tough." Favourite Waterloo Chateau pulled up after an early mistake. C.D. Maxwell, rider of Vicsaflia trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount never travelled, was pulled up and subsequent to this the gelding coughed. (MG & EM)
