Double for McGuinness and Caffrey as Hodd's scores again Hodd's Girl powered away inside the final furlong to land a double for Ado McGuinness and Adam Caffrey at Dundalk this evening. The 4/1 shot was held up in the early stages of the six-furlong handicap before coming to press front-runner Dun Na Sead at the furlong marker. She quickened up to lead inside the final furlong and was soon in control as she went on to post a two-and-a-half length win over Gobi Star. The Zebedee filly was recording her sixth success at the venue and her third over course and distance. McGuinness said: "She's a great filly and she's a lovely filly to train. She is just improving and improving. "He was very good on her too today, he didn't panic. They went good and quick, so he just sat there and that is the beauty about him. "I'm delighted for the lads, I think that is her fourth win since she came to me. "We'll probably try and get a bit of black-type with her now. She did that very easily tonight. She deserves a shot at a good pot somewhere and that is what she will get. "We might look at the all-weather finals, I think the likes of Newcastle would suit her because they will go very, very fast and the race is inclined to collapse. She is a very strong traveller." McGuinness and Caffrey had also combined with Real Appeal in the earlier conditions race. (Quotes by Michael Graham)
