Doral lands touch for Lambe City Of Doral was produced with a well-timed run by Eddie O'Connell to land the Foley's Bar & Off Licence Handicap Chase at Sligo as the four-timer proved just a step too far for Ardglen. The winner was the one for money in the three-mile contest, available at 8/1 in the morning and sent off 9/2 after support from 7/1 on track. Ardglen, who memorably completed a treble of handicap chases at Clonmel on Sunday was bidding for his fourth win in 10 days. Brian Hayes had his mount at the head of affairs throughout but he came under pressure before the last. City Of Doral jumped into the lead at the final fence as Square Sphere also challenged. O'Connell sent his mount clear on the run-in to record a convincing 12-length victory. Ardglen kept on gamely to just edge second. "He's a nice type but he doesn't seem to go well right handed so we changed the tactics on him and let him creep into it today," said trainer James Lambe. "The further the better for him. He's a real winter horse and loves soft ground. We could look at something like the Troytown Chase long-term for him. "My horses are coming back into form and are in good nick at the moment." Lambe was also successful across the water at Newcastle earlier today with the Chris Hayes-ridden Hunting Tower. Gary Carson
