Definiteadare was a clear-cut victor of the second split of the Kathleen Walsh Memorial Handicap Hurdle in Listowel for father/son combination Tom and Bryan Cooper.

The seven-year-old Court Cave gelding tanked into contention rounding the home bend in this two and a half miler.

He hit the front heading to two out and was ridden clear on the run to the last obstacle. Once he cleared it, he kept on nicely to put five lengths on the runner-up Wrong Way Harry (9/1). Cahirdown Boy (8/1) held on to third by half a length from Fleurys Fort (25/1).

Tom Cooper said: "I fancied him no end today, he was in great form at home and the bit of juice in the ground helped.

"He is a very consistent horse and hopefully he'll win again over hurdles before going chasing. Unfortunately there was a 0-102 2m6f beginners chase for him at Killarney (October 3) but he'll be kicked out of that bracket now."
