Cronin Bach for more Give Her Bach stayed on stoutly to gain a deserved victory in the opening mares beginners chase at Tramore. Patrick Cronin's charge has proven ultra-consistent this summer and a switch back to fences saw her gain her first chase success, to add to one over hurdles and a point-to-point. Pierce Gallagher tracked the leaders on the 15/8 joint favourite before a fine leap propelled her into the lead four from home. She was joined by fellow market leader What A Jewel going to the second last but asserted at the final fence for a six-length success. Icy Reply was sent off a 9/4 shot having traded as short as even-money this morning. She was close enough when blundering two from home and eventually finished third, a length back. "She won the €5,000 bonus today and that is the second time she has won it. Winning today is nearly the same as winning two races. It's a great scheme really," said Cronin. "She will probably go back over hurdles now. I wanted to win the bonus when she was in good form and while the scheme was there. "She's an unbelievable mare and she'd nearly go every day of the week. I've been everywhere with her over the last few weeks. She is fierce sound and eats up every night. If I had a few more like her I'd be flying. "I was a bit nervous coming here taking on Willie Mullins and Ruby Walsh, it isn't easy for a farmer!" (Quotes by Donal Murphy)
