Trainer Gavin Cromwell has a strong team of horses for next weeks Aintree Festival but the Meath man issued a warning regarding the likely testing conditions ahead of the three-day meeting.

Speaking at Naas on Thursday after sending out Clear The Clouds to win a handicap hurdle, Cromwell said: “Visionarian is entered but I'm not sure with the ground.

Path D'ouroux will go for the two-mile handicap on the Thursday.

“We have the three for the National and Flooring Porter.

“Vanillier doesn't want it that soft, I know he's slow but he improves for a little bit of spring ground.

“Limerick Lace wouldn't want too much heavy in it either to stay that trip and Malina Girl would be in the same boat.

Despite concerns, the Cheltenham Festival winning trainer remains optimistic adding: “I was actually over there yesterday (Wednesday) and I don't think it walks too bad.”
