D's Trix returned to the scene of his only previous success in ten starts when he captured the Firville Handicap Hurdle for the McNamara father and son team of trainer Andrew and rider Andrew junior.
The Deirdre Kearney-owned son of Quws led before the last and went on to beat Mats Teacher by two lengths.
McNamara senior commented: "The better ground helped as he struggled a bit on the heavy ground during the winter. We'll try for another one of these now and two and a half miles is his trip.
"He'll go chasing before the end of the summer."
