Conron powered clear inside the final furlong to run out a convincing winner of the concluding two-mile handicap at Clonmel this evening.
The top-weight was settled in behind the leaders by Shane Foley before taking closer order turning for home.
Jessica Harrington 's charge was driven into the lead two furlongs from home and asserted in the closing stages to record a four-and-three-quarter length victory.
The 13/2 winner was last seen finishing fifth behind champion hurdler Espoir D'allen over hurdles at Naas in November.
He was racing today off a 31lb higher mark than when last seen on the Flat at Killarney last August.
Harrington said:- "We had to get a handicap mark last year when he was rated 34 and we were struggling to get him into a race so we ran him in a conditions race before going back over hurdles.
"He likes an ease in the ground and while he isn't so much a summer horse, he likes nice ground and we'll have fun with him through the summer. He'll go to Punchestown now for a hurdle. "
