Lucky Max has come in for plenty of market support in the fourth race at Clonmel this afternoon, the Powerstown Demesne (Q.R.) Handicap Hurdle.
Available at 25/1 in early shows, the Sean Doyle trained gelding is now as short as 7/2 for this extended two-mile contest. Steak And Onions has gone from 7s to 5/2 for the opening Irish Stallion Farms EBF Mares Maiden Hurdle, while Harvey’s Quay has been well-supported in the Suir Blueway Handicap Hurdle.
The Edward O’Grady trained gelding was 10/1 in early shows but is now trading at 7/2.
The defection of Sayce Gold has had a significant impact on the market for the Clonmel Oil Chase Day November 11th Mares Chase. Humm Baby has still been well-backed for this good quality heat, and while she was 13/2 early, she is the current market leader at a general price of 11/8.
