Clashnabrook delivered for his connections again as the 9/4 favourite triumphed in the Horse And Jockey Handicap Chase at Thurles under Philip Enright.
The Alderbrook gelding travelled well behind 'the speed' and came there with his challenge looking a winner up the straight.
He 'got under' the last a bit but he was always holding the quirky outsider, Prince Of Forwards (stayed on very well at the death) by half a length. Mark Me Up and Saigheada Beaga (the subject of some market support) were a length and a quarter and a length and a half back in third and fourth.
Arthur O'Grady owns the now five-time winner and he's trained by his son Eoghan who said: "He's entered next Thursday at Clonmel in a novice handicap chase. We'll see how he is early in the week and decide then.
"He had a great run the last day (2nd to Colbert Station in a Punchestown handicap hurdle) and he was entitled to win." (AM & EM)
