Struck By Churchill burst through late on to add a Flat success to her recent hurdles win, at Navan this afternoon.

The Andy Slattery-trained mare won over timber at Wexford eight days ago and went to post an 11/2 shot back on the level today.

Cian Horgan got a good tune from the daughter of Churchill inside the final furlong as she grabbed Keilah close home for a half-length success.

Assistant trainer Brian Slattery said: "I was surprised she was the price she was. She did win a four-year-old maiden hurdle in Wexford. I know she was second favourite, but she was 8/1 most of the day.

"I know it was a competitive race, but she won well. She looks like she will get another chance in one of these again, so we will try and pick up another one.

"We might have a go at the four-year-old Listed handicap in Listowel, the Lartigue. It looks like she might scrape in off bottom weight. We definitely will have another go at a '65'.

"Hopefully, she can win another one."
