Chazzesmee won in the style of a highly progressive gelding when taking the King Of Change Handicap in impressive fashion at Naas this afternoon.

The son of Excelebration was off for a year before showing promise last autumn and easily got off the mark at Dundalk in January.

The five-year-old was all the rage and offers of 5/1 overnight were well taken as he went off the well-backed 11/8 favourite.

Mark Enright oozed confidence waiting until just over 100 yards out before sending his mount on to score by a comfortable length-and-three-quarters from Vocal Studies Facethepuckout was a further four lengths back in third.

Winning trainer Fozzy Stack said, “He’s improving away the whole time. Those German families often take a bit of time to come to hand. He’s a smart horse.

“He’s won in Dundalk so he’s fairly versatile ground wise.

“We might look at a handicap on Guineas weekend.”
