Oisin Orr was banned for 14 days for riding dangerously in the concluding race at Dundalk, in an incident where Long Journey Home fell approximately two furlongs out.
In addition, Orr was ordered to forfeit his riding fee and his mount Dancing Doll was disqualified from fifth place.
Champion apprentice Orr had ridden a winner in the preceding race on the card on board Noel Kelly's Wooster

The Stewards enquired into an incident in the straight involving Dancing Doll, ridden by O.J. Orr, Long Journey Home, ridden by K.K. Hennessy, and Vastonea ridden by M.L. Melia, where Long Journey Home fell. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards found O.J. Orr to be in breach of Rule 214 by riding dangerously and having considered his record suspended him for 14 race days and ordered his riding fee be forfeited. The Stewards also disqualified Dancing Doll from fifth place.
The amended result now reads:
1st Sharjah 0A2nd Tropic Thunder (GER)
3rd Try Again 0A4th Specific Gravity (FR)
5th Sleepy Head 0AO.J. Orr, rider of Dancing Doll trained by A.J.Martin, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got tight for room in the straight.
