Noel Meade made a successful start to the new turf season when Money Dancer scored on debut at the Curragh on Monday and he’s looking forward to getting the promising Caught U Looking out in the coming weeks.
The daughter of dual Derby winner Harzand won twice as a juvenile including the Group 3 Weld Park Stakes at the Curragh and is pleasing the Castletown trainer this spring.
“She was a good filly last year winning a Group 3 and has done well over the winter. We are hoping to run her in the Guineas Trial at Leopardstown,” said Meade.
He added, “We have about 25 two-year-olds this year and about the same number of three-year-olds and older as well. We still have Layfayette and Helvic Dream.”
Tu Va Stables was traditionally one of the powerhouse National Hunt yards in the country but has very much turned towards the Flat in recent years and reflecting on not having a runner at the Cheltenham Festival this year he added:
“We only had a couple entered and Affordale Fury was the one we were looking forward to and he just got a bang at the wrong time.
“We might have got him out for the end of the season but he’s a big horse and we decided to leave him off until next season.”
