Fozzy Stack reports that Castle Star is back in full work and set to make his reappearance in the coming weeks.

The son of Starspangledbanner was one of the leading juveniles last season, winning twice before finishing second in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes on his final run of the campaign.

The Tipperary trainer said; “Castle Star had a little hiccup and he could go for a Listed race (Belgrave Stakes) on Derby weekend but more than likely we’ll wait until Oaks weekend.

“He’s fine and is back in full work. He just had a little hiccup at the wrong time and will go down the sprinting route this year."

Stablemate Hermana Estrella also looks likely to go down the sprint route next time having failed to see out the mile on her return. “Hermana Estrella ran very keen in the Guineas and probably didn’t stay. We might drop her back for that same Listed sprint on Derby weekend at the Curragh." Stack added.

Meanwhile, recent Curragh debut winner Papilio could go for a Group race (Balanchine Stakes) also over six furlongs at the Curragh on Derby weekend.
