Gavin Cromwell's Moutarde powered home in the final furlong for a decisive success in the concluding handicap at Roscommon.

An extended 1m4f was on offer and he was produced by Gary Carroll to storm home at the furlong pole.

He soon readily asserted and came in by a handy three and a-half lengths at 10/1. Kool One was booked for second at 25/1 and had half a length in hand over keeping-on Prairie Angel (10/3).

This gave Carroll a brace of winners in Connacht as he was earlier successful aboard Vestigia (5/4f).

Carroll said: “He handles that ground well and he's been crying out for that trip.

“He just had settled all year and it just came with racing, he's after starting to relax.

“He got the trip well and won nicely. Hopefully the handicapper doesn't kill him and hopefully there is another one in him.”
