Carrigmoornaspruce could be one for Dublin Racing Festival Carrigmoornaspruce (10/1) came from last to first with a withering finish to cut down Sortudo in the bumper at Leopardstown. She deployed the same tactics when scoring at Naas last month and took some scalps here. Koktail Brut, the uneasy 11/10 favourite, had tried to get on terms with Sortudo but cracked in the closing stages. It was Carrigmoornaspruce who then flew by on the outer to claim Sortudo (18/5) by three-parts of a length. Declan Queally said: “She was unreal. It was kind of the same as Naas. “We just said to the boys that we would let her gallop around at the back and come home as well as we can. “The lads said there is no pressure, look after her, and we’re planning on coming here for the mares' bumper at the Dublin Racing Festival. “It worked out and she’s a very talented filly.” Paddy Power gave Carrigmoornaspruce a first show of 33/1 for the Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham Festival.
